It would have been helpful to have some strategies to talk to my doctor. I didn't really want to take medication. I told her that Advil gave me stomach aches. She prescribed something to help with the stomach aches. It was frustrating to end up with more medications rather than less and no real solution for the pain.

I didn't realize that birth control could make my period come less often and be less intense. I wish I'd known sooner because I could have saved myself a lot of suffering.
